The department of Physics was established in the year of 1993. Initially, physics was introduced only for the classes of  F.Y.BSc and S.Y.BSc.At that time the number of students was very low. But then the numbers grew Since physics is not a special subject for the students in the college, many student  used to study in the neighboring colleges.SoSatyaniketan Institute started the subject of Physics as a special subject. At the present four faculty member are contributing the department. The faculty is adequate and competent to teach the subject at undergraduate level. The faculty of the department is actively participated in the syllabus revision by suggesting their views in the workshops organized by S. P. Pune University Pune  The department dark room and other infrastructural facilities. The faculty uses LED projector, as a ICT tools, for the power point presentation for the effective teaching - learning process. All the faculties are engaged in academic and personal counseling of the students. The faculty member have actively participated state , national level seminars and published the research paper in reputed journal. For the overall development of the students and to develop presentation skills of the students, department provide the opportunities by conducting

1.Seminar and group discussion to S.Y.B.Sc. andT.Y.B.Sc.students. .

2.  Research based Project for students in the Avishkar competition.

3. Workshop on Power point presentation.

4. Add on courses.

5. Seminar, Poster,  and P.P.T. presentation Competition .

6. Soft Skill development programme for T.Y.B.Sc Students.

Specific Objectives: -
